About
Us
...Well...
we are a small team covering all aspects of selling
property, primarily resales, in the area of Almeria.
We build trust through the honesty that we always offer
both buyers and sellers. We operate using an excellent
web-site built for us by DNA Diseño, a lap-top
computer, PC, mobile phones, a landline and a digital
camera, from a country villa near Turre. So please be
patient when waiting for a reply as the phone signal
goes tetas'p'arriba sometimes!
We operate in and around Mojacar to Aguilas, Garrucha
to Arboleas about 45 minutes from the city of Almeria.
It is a rural and coastal area encompassing many beautiful
‘Sierras’ mountains & foothills. The
majority of the area is still very Spanish, though once
you begin to look around you will find a surprising
number of ex-pats secreted in farmhouses and villages
throughout the vicinity. Most are here for the sun and
mild winters away from the coastal chaos, many can be
found at the Tuesday morning market in the town of Albox,
the main social event of the northern part of the area
which we concentrate on!
The scenery in the northern part is dominated by the
rugged mountains always in the background, but softened
by the fields of almond trees, the main local produce.
At different altitudes, the scenery can change dramatically;
you can be in a desert canyon expecting "Clint"
to step out from behind a boulder, within fifteen minutes,
you can be lost in the middle of a grove of orange trees
and fifteen minutes later still, you can find yourself
in an area that looks just like Wales with pine &
oak forests AND SUN!
Or in the southern part you have the beautiful sandy
beaches of Mojacar and San Juan and the harbours of
Garrucha, Villaricos and Aguilas. The fantastic beach
bars strung along the beaches and the play areas for
the children. Here the market highlight is on Friday
morning in Garrucha, although all areas have their very
own market day. It is possible to sit o¬n the south
east coast in a Bay which both provides and protects
its marvellous climate. It is o¬ne of the few areas
o¬n the Spanish coast where the sea isn’t
hidden behind high-rise hotels and you can still find
solitary beaches and landscapes of fantasy. Mojácar
and surrounding villages and towns have a fine selection
of Restaurants, intimate Bars, Cafés and Boutiques.
Its sports facilities are all within easy reach, golf,
bowls, tennis, sailing, fishing, diving, equestrian
and much more.
The local history is rich and varied; many Moorish buildings
dating from the eleventh century are dotted around as
well as some earlier Roman ruins. Much of the terrace
walling and the miles of irrigation channels still used
today were originally installed by the Moors between
the eleventh & thirteenth centuries, an incredible
feat of engineering! The white village of Mojacar Pueblo
is something not to be missed.
The weather...Aaah...the weather, you can usually add
at least 10°C to whatever you've got in England;
in fact the temperatures that you have during the day
in the UK we usually have during the night over here
in Spain; winter barely lasts for three months; for
six months, it's an occasion if a cloud is spotted in
the clear blue sky; then there's the summer nights (excuse
me if this sounds like something from 'Grease'!), 30ºC...watching
the stars in a pair of shorts and sandals...G&T
by your hand...towel nearby to mop it up when you spill
it all over yourself... in the four years since we moved
here permanently, we have had less stress and anxiety
than ever before ...It's a good life...
As far as access is concerned, we are less than an hour
from Almeria airport, 2 hours from Alicante & Murcia
airports, 10 minutes from the beaches of Mojacar and
Garrucha, 30 minutes from 'Cabo de Gata' national park
and 2 hour 45 minutes away from the beautiful city &
skiing of Granada.
